Read it in high school and was very ok with it and really liked the premise and non-star wars nature of the book. Read it again on a whim after seeing the movies recently; it wasn't anywhere near as exciting as I remembered it being and just seemed to draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag on and on about nothing. Keeping this hidden on the shelf where it belongs.

What can I say this is the best book I have read. It has a way to draw you in and I loved every moment of it, frank hubert has way when writing books and you can see that by how he created his characters, he showed the humanity in the character then them being perfect he showed their flaws and beauty.

A bit convoluted with both mental and physical imagery, but showing perfectly how complex and marvelous a human mind can be if trained properly (I don’t mean the supernatural part of it). Not that it would make someone happier, as seen with the main protagonist.
