Description

This is the first entry in Greek short stories for beginners A1-A2, a series of bilingual graded readers for adult learners of Modern Greek.

"A dull and mundane retail nightmare, unfolding on foreign soil. A narration delivered in sour ambitions and visions of dearth, whilst navigating a shattered self and opaque surroundings."

This book has three parts. Part 1 ends every chapter with a glossary of words marked in bold in the text; tap to view their definition. Part 2 features a translation after each paragraph. Part 3 is a collection of all glossaries, but goes beyond that, with many words accompanied by explanations on usage.

For those who have read the two previous books in the series, this one is going to be slightly more challenging than Πού Πάμε; and considerably more challenging than Σιγά-Σιγά. Words already featured in either of the two are (for the most part) not included in this book’s glossaries, so if you’re unsure about your level, it is advisable that you read it last.

Εκεί Έξω is aimed at A2 learners who want to experiment with how much they can do with very simple grammar (present tense / είμαι & έχω can be past tense), and basic vocabulary, similar to Σιγά-Σιγά and Πού Πάμε;

The dialogues here are fewer but harder to follow than in Πού Πάμε; and the descriptions are more varied in Σιγά-Σιγά, equally featuring thoughts, emotions, situations and events.
